It has been a little over six months since we first picked up the RM-Z250 project bike. It’s far from where it was when we first got our hands on it, but we are over the moon with the improvements we have made to this machine. As I have mentioned in my earlier reports, the engine has great bottom to mid-range power but it really suffers when you get the bike into the higher RPMs and almost goes backwards into the over-rev. I would go as far as to say that the Suzuki is the most responsive bike in the class off the bottom, but pulling power once you are more than about quarter-throttle open really needs some work.

We learned over the year that if you can short shift the RM-Z it drastically helps in producing power that can be delivered effectively.
