LOOKIN’ GOOD!

Dear Classic American, Could you please congratulate Jon Cass for me on those excellent photos of that ’71 Fury, for me a top 10 car – I like the way he’s got down low to get good side/front and rear photos. I’ve got a picture of this car in a book, but the pictures don’t look as good as those he took – one minor negative on page 64 is that reflection on the back wing looks like a scratch; shame as otherwise it’s perfect.

Just looking at page 95, at the 1960 Impala – modern designers would never think about putting a ‘jet’ on the side of a car with the exhaust coming out of the back of it.

That kind of flair is just not part of their skill set – they must have really dull personalities, which is reflected in the cars they design today!

On a further note, there is a 1952-53 yellow Buick two-door fastback with a chop roof
