The new top-end iPhone doesn’t look drastically different from last year’s, cameras aside. And that’s because it isn’t drastically different from last year’s, cameras aside. Yet lots of small changes all over mean that this is a phenomenal phone… which it had better be, given that it starts at a whopping £1,049 for the 5.8-inch model or £1,140 for the 6.5-inch ‘Max’ model.
The stainless steel on the sides and glass across the back are essentially identical to the iPhone XS. The glass has been upgraded – Apple says it’s the toughest ever on a smartphone – and the phone comes in a new colour called Midnight Green.
The iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max have the same screen density (over 400ppi) but at different resolutions, so there’s no difference in sharpness.
