Returnees make Moorsline’s autumn gala the biggest ever

HOPES were rising that BR Standard 9F 2-10-0 No. 92134 could make its heritage-era debut during the North Yorkshire Moors Railway’s September 26-29 autumn steam gala.

The showpiece event is set to be the biggest event of its kind in the line’s history, with the possibility of at least 15 locomotives in action.

On September 4, a fire was lit inside the firebox of No. 92134 at Grosmont shed for the first time
