CROWLE Peatlands Railway in Lincolnshire gave its first rides in mid-September as part of the nationwide Heritage Open Days.
Cab rides in the 3ft-gauge line’s sole operating locomotive, Schöma 0-4-0 diesel hydraulic No. 5220 The Thomas were offered to prospective members of the operating society during the public open weekends of September 14-15 and 21-22.
