This is the first time that Samsung has released two Note phones at the same time. Given that size (and a stylus) has always been the Note range’s raison d’être, we wanted to dig into the plus version, with its whopping 6.8-inch screen.

In terms of ergonomics, it turns out be a rather unwieldy slab of glass and metal. Purely for feel, the smaller Note10 (6.3 inches) fits much better in the hand, feeling smaller than its size suggests, thanks to a compact body.

Of course, there are huge benefits to a bigger screen – from watching films and box sets on your morning commute, to reading ebooks on a flight, to getting immersed in a game. It also makes for a much larger canvas for handwritten notes using the S Pen, helping you see and annotate more of a PDF or webpage without constantly having to scroll, and means the phone functions as a bigger trackpad when using
