“The first day was misty, cold and rainy, which made for an exciting experience,” says Annelize. “Our biggest challenge by far was getting our gear and shoes dry for the following day.”

The event name translated into English is cloud mountain so they should have expected the misty conditions!

“This photo was taken about 3km from the finish line. The excitement of seeing the photographer made us completely forget how tired we were.”
