WILD ABOUT WINTER

Did you know the lowest recorded temperature ever was-133.6 degrees at the National Snow and Ice Data Center in Antarctica? While it doesn’t reach anywhere near those incredible lows here (our record was-25 degrees in the Snowy Mountains), plenty of Aussie regions see temperatures drop to minus double-digits in winter. Setting the scene for comfort is easy thanks to the multitude of ways to keep snug when temperatures start to plummet. Do a winter audit for those elements of your home you might need to address to keep you and your family comfortable. These can include things like checking you have adequate insulation, checking areas where cool winds and draughts might sneak in, checking electric blankets to ensure they’re still safe for use, and having fireplaces and heaters serviced to confirm their safety and efficiency.
