CHASSIS

Check all the sheet steel for signs of heavy corrosion.

GEARS

When properly set up gear selection should be simple. If it’s playing up, adjust as per the factory manual and don’t just randomly fiddle with the adjusters.

EXHAUST SYSTEM

Almost certainly clogged with carbon and/or oil from period premix so will benefit from a proper clean.

TANK

Well made and not especially prone to rust unless it’s sat with the filler cap off. Costly to re-chrome though!
