Often it can be the unintentional event that really makes a photo – the happy accident, as it were. Back in the heyday of film, avoiding light leaking into the camera was a huge deal. Film, clearly being light-sensitive, could be ruined by any stray light. Sometimes, though, this could result in a happy accident where a light leak could add a lot of character to a photo.
