Created by a group that operated bus companies, in January 2001.came to sight Gol Linhas Aéreas, benefitted by the concession of slots in Rio-Sao Paulo air shuttle. It has presented in the market as a low-cost airline in Brazil. Among the novelties, a simplified on-board service, a new last-generation Boeing aircraft fleet, and an equipment management intended to minimize time on ground.
