John Sykes’ initial inspiration to set up in the hydrodipping business was developed from his hobby as an air rifle target shooter. Initially, John airbrushed the stocks of his air rifles with various designs and camouflage combinations. The work John was completing on his guns started to gather interest from the shooting community and as a result he started doing work for other air rifle enthusiasts. As demand grew, in 1998 John set up the business with his friend, John Mook, an established painter in the York area.
