Ganga Ma

By Giulio Di Sturco, GOST Books, £35, 136 pages, hardback, ISBN 978-1-910401-28-6

From 2008 to 2018, the Italian photographer Giulio Di Sturco worked his way down the 2,500km lengthtranslating to Mother Ganges). On his way, he photographed the river and those whose lives are intrinsically linked to it. While his style is distant in a physical sense, it doesn't lack emotion. If anything, as a viewer, it feels you are looking over his shoulder and seeing what he sees.
