BEESA POWER

It’s been a while since I built the A65 and I’ve now had a couple of seasons’ experience of racing a 50 year-old Britbike against the latest modern hotshots. The first thing to say is how much I’m really enjoying the Beesa. It still brings me immense pleasure just to sit and look at it – accepting my obvious bias, it’s still as nice a flat-track bike as I’ve ever seen. More to the point, I get to race it as well. For someone who saw On Any Sunday way back on 1971 or so, and who fell absolutely in love with flat-track from that point on, and who never dreamed of ever even seeing a proper race, never mind competing in one, I still find the fact that I get to go racing every month to be a remarkable stroke of extremely good fortune. And truth be told, the BSA has lived up to all my expectations and more.
