MAY 18 WHITBY ABBEY AMERICAN CAR SHOW American Cars R Us (North East) with the kind support of English Heritage and St Mary’s Church, Whitby is hosting this event, right next to Whitby Abbey. With panoramic views over Whitby Harbour and a short walk down the famous Whitby steps into the town this is a fantastic location for a car show. 10am-4pm. Prices: £2 per vehicle charity donation. MAY 25-27 ENFIELD PAGEANT OF MOTORING Classic and custom cars, commercial vehicles, historic caravans and motorcycles will be on show. There are daring freestyle motorcycle displays by Jamie Squibb, arena parades showcasing a great variety of vehicles, six live bands with dancing, plus DJ, a Vintage Village and traditional fairground. There will be 300+ stalls and large autojumble, with a wide choice of catering. Around 15,000 visitors are expected. Free on-site parking. Admission £10 (cash only) with accompanied children aged 12 and under, free. All proceeds go towards the upkeep of The Whitewebbs Museum of Transport. Time: 9am-6pm. JUNE 1-2 VANDITOS VANJAM 1 Due to resurgence of the classic van scene Vanditos has been formed for all American classic van owners and lovers alike. All 60s, 70s and Rad 80s vans welcome. Anyone with an interest in classic vehicles, vans and the scene welcome. First get-together in the UK, a classic meet specifically for vans.
