Google Pixel 3 XL
As the old adage goes, the best camera is the one you have with you. Except I find this to be an oversimplification – there's little point in carrying around a small camera if it takes terrible pictures. What you really want is a pocket camera that'll consistently produce good-looking photos, even if you don't have time to adjust settings.
Enter the Google Pixel 3 XL. Smartphones have now supplanted standalone point-and-shoot digicams as the carry-everywhere camera of choice, and we've been really impressed by the photographic capability of recent multi-lens models from the likes of Huawei. On the face of it, the Pixel 3 XL doesn't appear to be in the same class, as it only has a single main camera and offers little manual control. But it makes up for this by being possibly the best point-and-shoot camera
