Apple rolls out new services

AT A MARCH “Special Event”, Apple finally announced its long-awaited original video subscription service. Confusingly, the service is dubbed “Apple TV Plus”, and it will be delivered through a revamped Apple TV app, both of which are distinct from Apple TV 4K, the media streaming box. Got that? The service will be ad–free across all devices, and all the content will be downloadable for offline viewing. It’s unclear whether it will all be available from launch, whether there will be differential pricing or bundling, and whether entire seasons or box sets will be available at once (Netflix style), or released
