Most of us have a local garden, park or flower farm that we can visit when spring hits. Once you’ve found a location, research what’s in season using a flower guide. Checking the weather before a shoot is helpful, but be willing to adapt to certain conditions on the day. In strong winds, for example, set fast shutter speeds that freeze plants and foliage – unless you want an intentionally artsy blur.
