Can you help with my Bluetooth blues in macOS Mojave?
Sometime after I upgraded to macOS Mojave, my MacBook Pro’s Bluetooth stopped working completely. Its icon has a line through it, and there’s no information found about it in System Information. How can I fix this?
Try resetting the SMC in case that helps (see bit.ly/resetsmc). After that, check if the cause is a hardware failure: start up in Apple Diagnostics (bit.ly/appldiag), run its tests, and note the result code. This isn’t foolproof evidence that the hardware is good, but if you get a code that starts with NDL, that confirms that your Mac needs to be assessed at a Genius Bar or at least somewhere similar.
