In the spring, as days lengthen and temperatures increase, brassicas which have been cropping deliciously all winter start to bolt. Leave some to flower to increase biodiversity in your garden and bring welcome fresh flavours into the kitchen.

The clusters of tiny yellow and white flowers attract wildlife, providing crucial early forage for bees and beneficial predators, including hoverflies, wasps, parasitic wasps and ladybirds.
