RIDING THE BIKE

Climbing aboard I straightaway discovered that Eric’s motorcycle was quite unlike other such bikes of the early Seventies that I’ve ridden. Painted in its patriotic French livery, the Baranne-sponsored Kawasaki monocoque’s seat is quite low, giving you the impression of sitting in the bike rather than on it – which is ideal for the Daytona bankings, where the quite large fairing comes into its own.
