TfL finances impact Piccadilly Line upgrade

FOLLOWING the announcement of Transport for London’s formal order for an initial 94 new underground trains from Siemens (see last issue), the transport body has confirmed that it will be delaying a supplementary order for six additional trains.
The cause is a delay in the signalling upgrade of the Piccadilly Line, with TfL reporting it is reviewing the whole Deep Tube Upgrade signalling programme.
