CURSE OF THE CARROT FLY!

If you’re looking for an easy to grow, nutritious and delicious vegetable, look no further than the humble carrot. Once a staple of the lower classes, these colourful roots can now be found braised in high-end restaurants. From their original guise as purple and white woody roots, this ever-popular vegetable can now be found in many colours including red, white, yellow and, of course, orange. Carrots also now come in differing shapes, from the typical pointed, conical-shaped varieties such as ‘Nantes’, through to the more spherical ‘Rondo’ and the extra wide ‘Oxheart’.
