HONDA CBR1000RR FIREBLADE (2004-2005)

The first underseat pipe Fireblade arrived in 2004 and boasted technology gained from Honda’s all-conquering RCV. Inspired by the GP bike, the brand new 998cc inline four packed a claimed 170bhp and the chassis was developed with the help of HRC, yet Honda failed to inject any spice into it. But, if you add two teeth to the rear sprocket (Honda did this to the updated 2006/07 generation), stick on a loud pipe and tweak the fuelling to suit alongside upgrading the brakes through high-friction pads and braided lines this is a fantastic sportsbike.
