TWO-TIME World Superbike champion Troy Corser marked the 20th anniversary of the Goodwood Revival on September 8-9 by thundering to victory in the Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy — the world’s most prestigious historic road race — which this year catered for bikes up to 1000cc built before 1954. He did so together with Austrian teammate Herbert Schwab aboard a supercharged 1929 500cc BMW R57 Kompressor, entered by the German manufacturer’s BMW Group Classic historic vehicle division.

It was indeed the Aussie ace’s first race victory of any kind since March
