ON THE EDGE OF THE HANTAM KAROO

If you want to see a packed caravan park, just be anywhere within 100 kilometres of Calvinia when the Vleisfees is on and it’s flower season in Namaqualand.

I was lucky to be squeezed in at Vanrhynsdorp Caravan Park, when on short notice I decided to take the “family” for a trip up the West Coast all the way to Nieuwoudtville: the plan being to get a look at the incredible flowers that were blooming for 2018.

If you are planning to drive way more than 1 000 kilometres, and to visit two caravan parks in one weekend, there’s no better way to do it than in a motorhome. And, if it’s a brand new 2018-edition of the Discoverer 4 from Motorhome-World, you’re in for a real treat.
