Equine Art

Lyn Beaumont has no problem remembering when she first started drawing horses. She has always been an equine artist. As a child she talked, read, and, of course, drew horses, even though, she chuckles, the drawings were very immature attempts. Later in life, she learned oil painting and spent considerable time on landscapes, but inevitably, her passion for painting horses predominated.

In 2005 the Victoria Racing Club awarded Lyn the honour of being selected to paint the ‘Horse of the Year 2005’, which will be installed in the institution’s art collection.
