name is Vic LaBantschnig, and my obsession for Chevrolet Nomads began in 1955 when a neighbor bought a new 1955. It was the first in the neighborhood and incredibly unique. station new wagon caught my was attention. The interest in the sporty wagon stimulated dealership traffic, but the limited production and pricing kept interest strong. The neighbor’s garage was next to my bedroom window so I looked at the shiny new car almost every day and vowed someday I would own a Nomad. The hook was set when the neighbor offered a ride in his new Nomad. Needless to say, I have been a Nomad fan ever since.
