> 3-4 The Very Vintage Day Out in Pavilion 6 at the ASB Showgrounds in Greenlane, Auckland. The two-day show is jam-packed with loads of vintage stalls and retro-inspired goodies along with several live bands, the 19 Black Miss Pin-Up New Zealand Beauty Pageant, The Very Vintage Bake Off, The new Spotlight Dressmaking competition, the Photo Safari, and the display of Hot Rods and Muscle Cars. > 4 Rodder’s Breakfast at Larfin’ Tiger hosted by Hustlers R&C at Larfin’ Tiger Café, Seaview from 9 ‘til 11am.
> 4 The Boatshed & Road Rodders Gearhead breakfast hosted by Wanganui R&C at Caroline’s Boatshed Bar, 181 Somme Parade, Aramoho from 9 ‘til 11am.
> 4 Wild West Breakfast on Lincoln Rd, Henderson.
> 10 Rockabilly New Brighton at Rawhiti Domain. Car show, hot rods, classics, muscle cars and vintage, sorry no Jappas. Also a pre-event cruise, market stalls, live bands, car prizegiving, kid’s area, Rockabilly Belle and Beau competition, Get in yer DRAG race and a hopping great after function to end the day! Entry: Public, gold coin donation and display vehicles are $10. As always, all profits made from the day will go straight back to the community.
> 10 Manawatu Monster Halloween Cruise. Calling all guys ‘n ghouls, we’re going down to the crossroads for a devil of a good time. That’d be the Himitangi crossroads, home of The Wines, who are the hosts for the hallowed evening. (Better late than never!) Gather at the graveyard - either Napier Road for the Palmerston North pumpkin heads, or Mako Mako Road, Levin, for the southern sinners. Each cruise will depart at 6pm. Halloween costumes are a must, as are decorated cars. You’ll feel a right zombie if you don’t dress to kill! The terrifying team at The Wines will have tasty meals and drinks to feed your inner demons.
