Remembering Rob 1

HI PAUL, I just heard the sad news. Thoughts to all you and your team. Obviously, Rob will be missed. Bloody good Kiwi bloke. Look forward to all the tributes and yarns that will follow by the mag etc.

All the best Merv and Claire Mitchell.

Remembering Rob 2

WHAKATANE 1972. It’s the NZ Hot Rod Festival. (The first event Whakatane Rod and Custom Club held) “Hey, Rob Campbell is here!”

“Nah, you’re having us on, he won’t come here.”

“He is, he’s here, that’s his

‘34 roadster over there.”

We hurry over,

“Geez, that’s him, that’s him alright he’s actually here.”

“Hey what say we ask him to do the first run on the Streetkhana course?” “Yeah lets, I wonder if he would?” “Go ask him.”

“Nah you go ask.”

“Me? Nah you go.”

“Excuse me, sir?”
