It’s never going to be easy to find a missing downpipe and/or silencer so don’t buy if they’re not there. Always check inside for heavy carbon deposits that will stifle performance.

INDUCTION SYSTEM

Disc-valve/carb cover needs to be properly sealed or the bike won’t run properly. Disc-valve material changed from fibre composite to steel, over time.

ELECTRICS

Basic system works well enough providing it has good earths and connections are free from corrosion.
