100 YEARS AGO FEBRUARY 1918

SEVERAL Hull & Barnsley 0-6-0 type engines are at present working on the South Eastern and Chatham Railway. A Railway Magazine reader passing Ashford recently saw as many as six of these engines in the yards there. The engines were of the latest type with large domeless boilers.
