The RCTS: then and now
ON April 27, 1963 a group of RCTS members set sail from Newhaven to travel to Franco's Spain in the search of steam.
SNCF Pacific No. 231D598 took the group’s train to Paris where they later caught the overnight train to Irun, hauled by electric No. BB9262.
