La Marzocco’s corporate social responsibility representative Mary Diamond has travelled to the Rift Valley in the Southern Highlands of Tanzania twice. On her first trip in June 2012, she participated in an educational seminar in the Mbeya region, which included time to harvest and plant with local women.
“[They] were so much more efficient than me, faster, yet the entire time kept up banter and laughter in their own language,” she says.
On her second visit, in 2015, she visited the Muvwa Primary Community School and was greeted with a live goat, honey, hand-woven baskets,
