The latest Photokina trade show, which took place in Germany for five days late in September, served as a roadmap to the future of cameras and associated equipment. Attracting hundreds of thousands of visitors from all over the world and roughly a thousand exhibitors, Photokina is an ideal place to assess market trends.
Statistical data released at Photokina by a number of global sources shows photography is undergoing dramatic changes.
