Hattons ploughs on with exclusives
NEWLY arrived in stock with Hattons are the ZZA Beilhack snowploughs, the ‘OO’ gauge models following hot on the heels of the retailer’s equally exclusive ICI limestone hoppers that were reviewed and profiled last issue.
In service for over three decades, the Beilhacks are best known for being built on recovered Class 40 and Class 45 bogies. A total of 10 ploughs were eventually converted with eight still in service today, several of which were deployed during the wintry spell at the beginning of March.
