FLOWERS FROM YOUR PATCH MARIGOLDS

French or African marigolds (tagetes) are like little rays of sunshine in your garden and flower for many months. French marigolds are small flowered and make good compact bedding plants. They are ideal for containers and planting among your veggies. Also look out for, such as ‘Golden Gem’. These will attract hoverflies and other pollinators more readily than some of the complex double bloom types. African marigolds tend to be much taller with big, blousy blooms.
