IT'S ONE OF A KIND
Perhaps it’s something that you can’t quite put your finger on? One thing is certain. There are many inspiring and unusual plants all over the planet — and a few that are weird, wacky and wonderful, too.
Of the more than 400,000 plants that have been scientifically named worldwide, some propagate with wild abandon leading to species being declared invasive weeds. Other plants are so rare and elusive there are only a handful in existence.
There are unusual plants from far-flung exotic places, such as String of Pearls'. This succulent looks like rows and rows of beads or baubles and is native to South West Africa. You can 'Johnson’s Grass Tree', which can live for hundreds of years but may only grow a centimetre or two a year.
