Materials
♦ 1.1m (1¼yd) each of solid black and dark grey fabrics
♦ 80cm (⅞yd) each of solid turquoise and orange fabrics
♦ 60cm (⅝yd) each of solid purple and dark lime fabrics
♦ 45cm (½yd) solid light grey fabric
♦ 35cm (⅜yd) solid lime fabric
♦ 60cm (⅝yd) feature print fabric
♦ 20cm (¼yd) solid cream fabric
♦ 70cm (¾yd) calico (cushion insert)
♦ Batting — Deborah used a wool/polyester mix.
♦ If you’re buying it off a 250cm (98in) roll, you’ll need 1.9m (2⅛yd)
♦ Quilt-basting spray
♦ Fusible web
♦ 12-weight cotton thread in black, lime and to coordinate with the feature fabric
♦ 40-weight Mettler Polysheen thread in black, lime, orange, purple and turquoise
♦ Superior Threads MonoPoly clear thread
♦ 1in grid mesh quilting stencil
♦ Powdered quilt pounce
♦ Rotary cutter, ruler and mat
♦ Size 80 top-stitch sewing-machine needles

Cut the fabric
From the solid black fabric, cut:
♦ two strips, 1in x width of fabric. Cross cut them to yield two strips, 1in x 18½in and two strips, 1in x 20½in (peeper flange)
♦ one strip, ¾in x width of fabric. Cross cut it to yield two strips, ¾in x 20in
From the dark grey fabric, cut:
♦ one rectangle, 3½in x 20in
♦ one rectangle, 11in x 20in
From the solid lime fabric, cut:
♦ one strip, 1in x width of fabric. Cross cut it to yield two strips, 1in x
