Jackson is in da house

This year Jackson Cook, aged 16, entered two quilts in the Sydney Quilt Show’s Years 7–12 section. Both were awarded prizes: Quincy received second prize, and Tumbling Down won third prize.

Jackson first started quilting as a 13-year-old and had been making sewn items for some years prior. In his short career he has, among other accomplishments, been awarded a Coastal Retreat Scholarship from Caroline Sharkey, sewn patchwork quilts on commission and taught patchwork at Craft Alive events.
