MATERIALS

• Large assortment of bright scraps to total about 3m (3 1/4yd) (blocks and Border 2)

• Large assortment of white, cream and beige tone-on-tone print fabrics to total about 2.5m (2 3/4yd). Each piece needs to be at least 6/2in square (blocks)

• 55cm ( 5/8yd) dark blue tone-on-tone print fabric (blocks)

• 45cm ( 1/2yd) blue floral print fabric (Border 1)

• 55cm ( 5/8yd) blue and white print fabric (binding)

• 1.8m (2yd) lightweight fusible interfacing

• 3.7m (4yd) backing fabric

• Batting at least 185cm (72in) square

• Stranded embroidery floss in purple, blue, red, yellow and green

• Embroidery needle

• Fine chalk pencil or white fabric-marking pen (optional)

• Template plastic or thin cardboard

• Sewing machine with 1/4in foot

• Rotary cutter, ruler and mat

• General sewing supplies

Stitches used: Chain stitch, running stitch

Finished size: 169cm (66 1/2in) square

Finished block size: 6in square
