• Fat quarter white tone-on-tone print fabric (background)

• Fat quarter white fabric (backing)

• Scraps of assorted black and white print fabrics (walls, roofs, shutters, trees and doors)

• 20cm ( 1/4yd) black and white gingham (binding)

• Stranded embroidery cotton in red, yellow, pink, green and dark grey

• Fusible web such as HeatnBond Lite

• Fusible batting such as Thermoweb fusible fleece

• White and black machine-sewing thread

• Tear-away stabiliser or hoop for free-motion stitching (optional) – see Note

• Rotary cutter, ruler and mat

• Sewing machine with 1/4in, free-motion and walking
