Pru Parker is a woman ahead of her time. She abandoned the rat race and started collecting unusual glass vessels, teapots and other funky paraphernalia well before it was fashionable to do so.

“When I started collecting the glass in the ’70s, it was definitely not in fashion and there were many jokes by the auctioneers as to where I may be putting my finds,” Pru recalls. “It was excellent.
