PAT LARTER

PAT LARTER WAS AN INSPIRATION.

She was the person who showed me that success is self-awarded and doesn’t need to be validated by the commercial art world. She aided me to reassess what I wanted from my engagement with art-making, and assisted me to reorient my view about the art world. As an artist she was uncompromising in her strength of opinion, as a wife she was a true partner, and as a mother she excelled.

I first knew Pat as a wife and muse of Dick (Richard) Larter, and mother of five children. Dick Larter was artist in residence at Riverina College of Advanced
