The Nocta is made for floating off drops and crushing powder. The mellow sidecut and relatively long turn radius provide stability at speed. Despite being a wide ski, the full rocker helps the Nocta transition easily from edge to edge in soft snow, and keeps it from being too much ski when the snow gets choppy and bumpy.
