How will television evade its usual post-Emmys slump? David Mackenzie () directs the premiere episode of the USA Network’s (Nov. 7), a 1930s-set Western centered on two warring characters: a revolutionary preacher and the industrialist tycoon hell-bent on stopping him. In the (Nov. 22), a Western miniseries helmed by Steven Soderbergh that stars Jeff Daniels as a vengeance-seeking outlaw. Hulu hopes its second Margaret Atwood adaptation, (Nov. 3), will captivate audiences like Emmy winner did. It features a breakout performance by Sarah Gadon as a mild-mannered maid accused of murdering her employer in the 1800s.
