Mirrorless lenses tend to be light and small

Like a growing number of photographers, I'm looking at downsizing. I currently use a Nikon D700, which is a hefty full-frame DSLR. I can see that there is a useful reduction in size and weight compared to an APS-sensor D7500: 135.5x104x72.5mm and 720g compared to the D700, which is 147x123x77mm and 995g.
