Letter of the Month

I took your advice to “Just Commit” (45.3). The Midwest doesn’t have a lot of great skiing. I grew up skiing the hills of Wisconsin’s Wilmot Mountain (“Mashed” 45.3) and more recently Ohio’s Mad River Mountain. So when I found out I was going to Banff, Alberta, for a conference in February, I took your Latitudes article on Banff (“Quiet the Mind,” 44.3) as a sign. I’ll finally get back to a real mountain after 23 long years (I was 7 when my dad took my older brother and me to Park City, Utah). It will be a long awaited adventure. Thank you for the inspiration.
