The rear packs dual-lens 12MP cameras, while the front is 8MP. 4K recording is included, naturally, and you can take 9MP stills from the rear camera at the same time as recording in 4K at the same time as recording in 4K

PENNED IN

The S Pen has a fine nib and 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity, for the phone artists out there, and is well integrated into the operating system. It slides away into the Note 8 when not in use

BATTERY CHECK

The screen is pretty much the same as the S8’s, including a lush 2960x1440 resolution and HDR video support

MAKING MEMORY

The Note 8 comes with 64GB of storage, but can take microSD cards up to 256GB, in case you need to add more
