2 Piercing eyes — Next, we’ll give her some piercing robotic eyes, so go to the Layers Panel, click on the Create Adjustment Layer icon and then select Curves. Drag up on the curve to lighten the image then make a second point in the shadows and drag down to add some shadows to your image.

Now we’ll mask the Curves Adjustment so it only applies to the eyes. Make sure that the Layer Mask thumbnail of the Curves Adjustment Layer is highlighted in the Layers Panel, then press to invert the white mask to black. This will hide everything on the layer. We can then use the Brush Tool to paint back the brighter tones. Select the Brush Tool from the Tools Panel then click on the Brush Preset Picker and choose a soft-edged circular brush. Press to reset your colours to black and white, then paint over the eyes to reveal the Curves Adjustment with a white brush. If you make a mistake, press to flip to black and paint to hide the brighter tones.
